Christopher Peyton of “X Factor UK” fame approached Awake to create an identity for the house music label, Revival Records, that he was about to launch. He pretty much had us immediately but when he added that he and his team had just recorded the first handful of tracks at the legendary Abbey Road studio we were all in.

The label needed to have a vintage vibe, channeling a bit of 70’s love while maintaining a contemporary feel at the same time. The nostalgic avocado green that was a ubiquitous 70’s kitchen design staple rooted the design in the past while the typographic elements create a sense of modernity and relevance. The double “R” symbol presents a mirror image that is right at home in the centre label of a record as it’s never upside-down and creates a visual feast for the eyes when spinning at full speed.
